The Acreage Cancer Study

I am a resident of Delray Beach Florida that has been following the news of Acreage in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. I am a concerned citizen offering what I can to help an old High School buddy that has lived in Acreage for about 8 years with his wife and two children. My friend was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma in 2004 and discovered three weeks ago, since his surgery then, has metastasized to his lung and neck.

I myself am a cancer survivor as well as having the priveledge of caring for a younger brother that died from Leukemia that was environmentally caused due to two years of full contact with benzene(construction career) before it was labeled as a carcinogenic. He was 29 years old. I have 28 years experience as a Registered Nurse in ER, Critical Care, Trauma and subspecialty in pediatric illnesses.

I enjoy research and finding answers that generate hope, rather than fear and foster human pricelessness which you could say apposes 'safe' statistics. Growth is in finding solutions rather than saturating with complaint or threat. I am not that loud, but have been lightly accused of being firm in my convictions. I joy in my freedom of discernment and not so fond of judgement. Still glad not to be perfect, yet thrilled to be perfect in my imperfection. Am just another of all, a member of the human race and be priceless enough just like everyone else. = )
