About Me

My family has lived in the Acreage/Loxahatchee for ten years.  I believe that it is our job as citizens, but more importantly as parents, to raise awareness about this growing tragedy.  I will do whatever is in my power to protect my children and others who are not able to speak for themselves.  I am blessed to have a healthy family and hope that as a community, we can get to the bottom of this.  My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.  We will honor you every step of the way.

Sleepless, it was very difficult after I heard the first news report in June about the possible cluster to not have rushed right down and have my two children, my husband and me get a cat scan. Every time Jacob says his head hurts or Tara complains about an ache I get a sick feeling in my stomach. But we are keeping our cool. In one of the posts it mentions symptoms to look for. Those symptoms are the key and you know your children better than anyone. I will say that if one of my children were to have a headache and vomiting more than once in a 1-2 week period - I'd have them at their doctor's or at the hospital getting a scan.
